The Alabama Humanities Foundation (AHF) is pleased to present the 2010 SUPER Emerging Scholars (SES) program as an expansion of its mission to serve the public. This program directly fosters opportunities for high-school students to examine the significance of their own cultural values and meanings through in-depth studies of literature, history and the arts. By equipping participants, called Emerging Scholars, with necessary critical thinking and writing skills in the humanities, they will be inspired to explore human values and meanings through academic scholarship.

The Emerging Scholars institutes, is a program of SUPER , they are week-long residential workshops that will offer specialized academic enrichment in the humanities. Emerging Scholars institutes will assist upper-level high-school students in the development of writing and critical thinking skills necessary for success in secondary and post-secondary education.
