Artist’s statement: “I discovered the inspiration for my piece in the gothic, rustic settings described in the novel, particularly of the Radley and Ewell dwellings. Remnants of rusted fence wire, old rusty window screen, raw cotton, bramble and various found metal objects twist together to fashion a fetishtic interpretation of the novel’s symbol of innocence.”
