Our Mission

The AHF creates and fosters opportunities to explore human values and meaning through the humanities. From grants to our Road Scholars, we offer the humanities to Alabamians to enhance their minds and enrich their lives.

As the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, we strive to create and foster opportunities for scholars and the public to interact and explore human values and meanings through the humanities.
