On Monday, September 17, at The Wynfrey Hotel, about 500 humanities supporters from all over Alabama came together for the 2007 Alabama Humanities Awards Luncheon. Southern author Rick Bragg delivered the keynote address. Jack Warner of Tuscaloosa received the 2007 Alabama Humanities Award, and Stewart Dansby accepted the 2007 Charitable Organization in the Humanities Award for the Susan Mott Webb Charitable Trust. At a reception held prior to the luncheon, winners of the Jenice Riley Memorial Scholarship received their awards and were congraulated by Rob and Patsy Riley.
