Wyatt Wells is professor of history at Auburn University—Montgomery, where he served as department chair
from 2005 to 2008. He is the author of numerous
books and articles on business and economic
history, including The American Economy Since
1945, Antitrust and the Formation of the Postwar
World, and Economist in an Uncertain World: Arthur
F. Burns and the Federal Reserve, 1970–1978. He also served as assistant editor of the Andrew
Jackson Papers at the University of Tennessee.
Wells earned a B.A. with honors in history at
Vanderbilt University, as well as an M.A. and Ph.D.
in American history from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill.
